A new generation of chefs are cooking up a storm in new 'super kitchens' at William Angliss Institute.

The multi-use kitchens and collaboration spaces support training for 48 students at a time. They include:

  • kitchen workstations for patisserie and cookery training
  • the latest in cooking and baking equipment
  • multi-use spaces and collaboration areas.

The Victorian Government provided $4 million towards the upgrades. This follows our previous support for William Angliss Institute to create:

  • its iconic Tram Café
  • a Gelateria
  • chocolate-making training facilities.

Victoria has more than 30,000 cafes, restaurants and bars across the state. Our support will help build the pipeline of skilled workers for Victoria’s hospitality sector.

People looking to turn their passion for food into a career can study cooking and baking free from tuition fees at TAFE. Victoria’s Free TAFE program includes the

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
  • Certificate II in Baking
