Merger in 1976: Ballarat Technical School No. 7020 detached from SMB and merged with Ballarat Girls High School to become Ballarat Technical High School No. 7267. This in turn became Mount Clear Technical High School No. 7267.
Name change in 1990: Mount Clear Technical High School changed its name to Mount Clear Secondary College.
Name change in 2001: Mount Clear Secondary College changed its name to Mount Clear College.
