New Minister for Mental Health

The Board agreed to write a letter of congratulations to the new Minister for Mental Health. This will also include an invitation to the Minister to attend a future Board meeting and to open the December forum.

The Board agreed to write to the Minister for Mental Health in support of the implementation of Recommendation 29 of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health and Wellbeing System for a new non-government agency led by people with lived experience of mental illness or psychological distress. 

The Board saw the agency as an essential part of the new system architecture envisioned by the Royal Commission for a transformed system.

2023–26 strategic plan

The Board reviewed the draft strategic plan. A number of changes were suggested and the revised plan will be circulated out of session. 

Policy development and implementation policy 

The Board approved the policy. 

Mental health and wellbeing outcomes and performance framework

The Board received an update on the framework being developed by the Department of Health and noted the opportunity for the Collaborative Centre to align outcomes with those in the framework.
