We have updated the program guidelines to make eligibility requirements easier to understand. We encourage you to check the updated guidelines.

You may be eligible if you are an early childhood teacher or educator who is:

  • joining the sector
  • returning after at least 12 months away
  • moving to an area where workforce demand is greatest.

Financial support may also be available to help with the cost of moving.

Incentive payments are available for teacher and educator positions in funded kindergarten programs. The position must have a contract for at least 12 months.

These programs help Victorian kindergartens attract the workforce needed to give children the best start in life. They also support delivery of the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
