Claire Sanders, Assistant Director, Advisory Services, Workforce Inspectorate Victoria
Claire Sanders leads the Advisory Services and Licensing teams at Workforce Inspectorate Victoria. With over 10 years’ experience managing frontline teams across local and state government, she is passionate about streamlining processes to help stakeholders engage more easily with modern regulators.
Claire also brings a strong background in Human Resources, with experience across diverse industries including hospitality and retail. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Employment and Labour Relations Law.
Leisl Egan, Child Safety and Wellbeing Advocate, Australian Broadcasting Corporation
Now entering her 5th year as Child Safety & Wellbeing Advocate at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Leisl’s focus is on creating safe and inclusive spaces for children in media, entertainment and broadcasting. Her role spans the ABC, working with Content, News, Audio and Digital ensuring employees and productions are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely with children.
Leisl’s professional journey spans over 15 years in content-making with an extensive background in children’s television production. Dedicated to safeguarding and improving children's involvement in content-making, Leisl’s aim is to empower the wider industry with information and skills to achieve a consistent and proactive approach to child safety in media and entertainment.
Katrina Moody, Manager, Youth Pathways and Transitions, Department of Education
Katrina has been the Manager of Youth Pathways and Transitions for North-West Victoria Region at the Victorian Department of Education for the past seven years. In this role, she leads work supporting the development and implementation of policies and practices that help schools strengthen student engagement and improve pathways and transition outcomes for young people.
With over 20 years’ experience focused on improving outcomes for young people, she is passionate about strengthening the systems and supports that help every young person stay engaged in learning and reach their potential. Katrina works closely with schools, community organisations and industry partners to expand opportunities for young people to build their skills and experience in safe, supportive environments.
Callum Flint, Team Leader, Advisory Services, Workforce Inspectorate Victoria (Moderator)
A member of Workforce Inspectorate Victoria (WIV) since 2021, Callum has worked in both the advisory and compliance spaces within the organisation, developing extensive experience applying the Acts under WIV’s jurisdiction.
Callum’s current focus is streamlining practices to improve accessibility for employers while maintaining safety standards and positive results for children in employment.
