Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations that deliver Aboriginal sexual assault support services will define the foundational knowledge capabilities for Aboriginal practitioners. They will reference this capability framework and the work undertaken to document the service delivery model. This aligns with self-determination principles. Using this framework will ensure an informed, capable and culturally responsive workforce.
This framework is part of the Victorian Government’s:
- Building from strength: 10-Year Industry Plan for Family Violence Prevention and Response
- Framing the Future: Second rolling action plan.
This framework complements the Responding to family violence capability framework. The Responding to family violence capability framework sets out the capabilities aligned to the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk and Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM Framework). The MARAM Framework support a consistent system-wide response to family violence and sexual violence.
