Voiceover: Melbourne's iconic tram network is the largest in the world, with 250 kilometres of double track, over 1600 tram stops and 24 lines. More than 5000 tram services per day caters for up to 205 million trips per year.

Operating for more than 100 years, it is at the heart of our beautiful, vibrant city, connecting people, places and experiences.

Our fleet has more than 510 trams, with 8 depots, forming part of an integrated transport system with our road and rail network, servicing the city and linking to regional services.

75% of the network is shared with road traffic.

In 2024, the Victorian Government will award a new long term service contract, the operations and maintenance contract for Melbourne's Trams.

We are future focussed and driven by growth.

By 2050, Melbourne will be Australia's largest city, with a population of 9 million, the same size London is today.

New infrastructure and technology are improving accessibility and safety outcomes across our network.

We've invested significantly in new trams and supporting infrastructure and this next contract will continue that investmentas we strive to give Melburnians and our visitors the best of simple, safe, connected journeys.

This year we’ll be looking around the world for those best qualified to take part in our tender process.

Be a part of Melbourne's future.
