Record keeping program

Sprout Social also records metadata information and a direct link to the platform the post was published on.

The record will provide the following information for record keeping purposes; date it was sent or received; the name used by the person who posted the message and the response was sent to (no need to determine the sender’s actual identity); and the purpose of the message.

As it is not provided in the screenshot, the following information will be required to be stored in a document:

  • time it was sent or received
  • the name of the public officer that sent the message, who authorised the social media message
  • The name of the social media application that the message was published on.
