OBRM reporting

Bushfire risk management reporting

Each year, the Office of Bushfire Risk Management (OBRM) publicly reports on bushfire risk reduction activities and outcomes achieved by departments and agencies with bushfire management responsibilities.

From 2026, this reporting is being delivered as Victoria’s Bushfire Management Report Card, a structured, sector-wide assessment of progress against the intermediate outcomes of Victoria’s Bushfire Management Strategy. It provides detailed information on bushfire management delivery and outcomes across public and private land for the previous financial year.

Previous years' fuel management reports have been archived and are available on request.

Planned burn breach assurance

OBRM publicly reports on breaches of Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) planned burn control lines, investigations and assurance activities, and progress in implementing any recommendations from previous breaches.
