• Introduction

  This implementation plan accompanies the plan and provides specific actions and measures for the first year of the plan to deliver priorities in each of the focus areas.

• Gender Equality Action Plan 2022-25

  The department’s priorities for the three focus areas will be implemented over the 4-year period of the plan with ongoing monitoring and review.

• Focus Area 1: Promote equality in the composition of our workforce

  Focus Area 1 incorporates three priorities: improving data capture, aligning key policies, and embedding inclusive recruitment and career development.

• Focus Area 2: Reduce the gender pay gap

  Focus area 2 has two priorities: build awareness of gender equality, and implement effective gender impact assessment and reporting processes.

• Focus Area 3 – Ensure a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace

  Focus area 3 has two priorities: increase the capability of people managers and leaders to respond to disrespectful behaviours, and embed a culture of respect and gender equality
