Important information

You must pay your vehicle registration through VicRoads before applying for the rebate through Service Victoria.

If you pay your registration in instalments, you can still apply for the rebate, even if your final instalment payment is due after July 2026.

You cannot get the rebate if your registration renewal is for the new financial year starting after 1 July 2026.

How long will it take to receive the rebate?

Payments will be made by direct bank transfer.

Most payments will be processed within 30 days.

If you paid your registration recently, your application may take longer than 30 days because your information is being updated.

Please be patient.
