Get help applying for the vehicle registration rebate

Support is available in person, online and through community organisations during the application period.

Victorian vehicle owners can now apply for a 20% rebate on their vehicle registration.

Applications open on 1 June and close on 31 July 2026. The rebate applies to eligible vehicle registrations for the 2025–2026 financial year.

You can apply using the Service Victoria app or website.

Visit your local library

From 1 June, if you need digital support with your registration rebate application, you can visit your nearest Public Libraries Victoria library.

Drop-in sessions

Salvation Army

Free drop-in sessions are available at the Salvation Army, Magpie Nest Café in Melbourne for vulnerable people who need help submitting their applications:

  • Tuesday, 24 June from 9 am to 11 am
  • Tuesday, 29 July from 9 am to 11 am

Staff are also available to answer questions Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm throughout the application period.

The Magpie Nest Café is located on the Ground Floor, 69 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Entrance via Westwood Place.
