At the VSA we are committed to embedding applied research in the vocational education model. Applied research draws on established research methods to find practical, evidence-based solutions to real-world problems.
It can lead to innovation, empowerment of workers through new skills, knowledge transfer to and among learners, and commercialisation of productivity-enhancing ideas in both the vocational education and training (VET) sector and the broader Victorian economy.
We support the undertaking of applied research as well as the dissemination of findings to help strengthen Victoria’s capacity and capability for innovation.
