Employment Projections Dashboard

Over the next 3 years, around 408,000 new workers are expected to enter the Victorian labour market. This includes 174,000 workers in new jobs and 234,000 workers to replace retiring workers. These new workers will be in addition to the 3.81 million workers already in Victoria.

You can use the Employment Projections Dashboard to:

• access Victorian employment projections for the next 3 and 10 years by region, industry and occupations
• access information on vocational and higher education pathways and study options
• explore the profile of workers in each occupation, region and industry.

The Employment Projections Dashboard is updated annually by the Victorian Skills Authority, utilising the most up-to-date labour market data to refine employment projections.

Industry skills and workforce snapshots

More detailed workforce projections data and industry-specific skills and workforce data are available via the industry skills and workforce snapshots. These snapshots are available for 19 industries and are updated annually by the Victorian Skills Authority.
