The courses have been developed to support Victorian industry and community needs where there are no existing packages or endorsed units available.
Usage
The following Victorian Crown Copyright accredited courses are owned by the department and available to download for free.
Section A of the documentation includes information on permissions for use. Section B provides course information, including content and course rules.
Registered training organisations will need to apply to their VET regulator (ASQA, the VRQA or WATAC) to request addition of any of these courses to their scope of registration.

Course purpose
The 22497VIC Course in Concrete Precast Rectification provides an accredited training program and vocational outcomes for a person to be employed as a concrete precast rectifier/patcher and repairer.
The course does not align with any specific AQF level, but rather complements existing competencies gained by workers in the building and construction industry. Therefore, it is appropriately designated as a ‘Course in Concrete Precast Rectification’.
On completion of the 22497 VIC Course in Concrete Precast Rectification, participants will have the skills and knowledge to:
- identify hazards and associated risks when working in a concrete precast rectification role
- assess and determine appropriate patching and repair methods and material requirements
- plan and safely prepare for concrete precast patch and repair tasks
- make accurate calculations, measurements and judgements for product mixing and material consistency
- employ appropriate curing techniques for cement, grout and epoxy materials
- use a range of application and finishing techniques to various surface types
- modify work processes/repair methods, according to changing circumstances.

Course purpose
This course will prepare graduates to be employed as an assistant in the inspection and cleaning of conduits within the trenchless technology sector.
This course will prepare graduates to:
- communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and the public in a trenchless construction environment
- handle and move industrialised trenchless technology inspection and cleaning equipment
- support the identification, location, excavation and protection of underground conduit services
- follow WHS/OHS procedures to work safely onsite and in confined spaces.

Course purpose
The skills and knowledge described in the Certificate III in Prefabrication Installation reflects the role of onsite installers and/or assemblers who install prefabricated or modular building elements on a construction site in a team and time constrained environment.

Version 3 reflects an extension to the course expiry date.
This post-trade course provides the knowledge and skills required to service heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and includes the essential safety measures and control systems.
The course also covers the application of relevant codes of practice and standards in the inspection and testing of HVAC systems and includes smoke and fire control features of air handling systems, optimising indoor air quality and enhancing energy efficiency.

- undertake basic and/or preventative machinery maintenance

The course is confined to the safe use of machinery for technology teaching and is not intended to provide teachers with the vocational competencies to operate machinery in a non-school environment.

Purpose
This Guide is intended to support implementation of the Certificates in General Education for Adults (CGEA). The Guide is intended for both experienced and new users of the curriculum and provides information on the changes made to the curriculum during its most recent reaccreditation in 2018.

Purpose
This guide is intended to provide information to Training Providers and teachers/trainers and assessors to assist the implementation of Literacy and Numeracy Support in Victoria.
The guide is designed to:
- inform Training Providers about the implementation arrangements for training delivery for Literacy and Numeracy Support under the Skills First program
- inform Training Providers which units of competency relating to foundation skills comprise Victoria’s Literacy and Numeracy Support
- provide sample skills groups to illustrate good practice
- provide key information, contacts and links.
