Hon. Jacinta Allan, Premier

The Hon Jacinta Allan MP is the 49th Premier of Victoria, and the Leader of the Victorian Labor Party.

Ms Allan was first elected to the Victorian State Parliament in 1999 as the Member for Bendigo East. She was appointed to the Cabinet in 2002 as Minister for Employment and Youth Affairs. She was Leader of the House from December 2014 to June 2022. Ms Allan was also the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Minister for Suburban Rail Loop and Minister for Commonwealth Games Delivery.

The Hon. Ben Carroll, Deputy Premier

Profile of Ben Carroll MP

Mr Carroll is also Minister for Education, WorkSafe and the TAC and Medical Research.

Minister Carroll was born and raised in Airport West where his family have lived for over 40 years.

He has over 20 years’ worth of experience in public service, including as a lawyer for the Victorian Government, and adviser to Victorian Premier Steve Bracks.

First elected as the Member for Niddrie on the 24th of March 2012, Mr Carroll was appointed the Minister for Industry and Employment in October 2017. In this role he oversaw the implementation of Australia’s first ever local jobs first legislation and the countries first Social Procurement Framework.

Following the 2018 Victorian State Election Ben was appointed the Minister for Crime Prevention, Corrections, Youth Justice and Victim Support.

In June 2020, he was appointed the Minister for Public Transport, Roads and Road Safety.

In July 2022, Mr Carroll added the portfolios of Minister for Industry Support and Recovery and Business Precincts to his existing portfolio responsibilities of Public Transport, Roads and Road Safety.

In these roles, Minister Carroll focuses on ensuring Victoria’s transport network and industry policies provide access to opportunity, support the transition to net zero emissions, and build a fairer society.

Following the 2022 Victorian State Election, Ben added the portfolios of Minister for Industry and Innovation, Manufacturing Sovereignty and Employment to his existing portfolio responsibility of Public Transport.

The Hon. Ros Spence, Minister for First Peoples

Ms Spence is also the Minister for Roads and Road Safety and Community Sport.

Before entering Parliament, Ms Spence achieved a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws. Ms Spence has worked in various administrative roles, volunteered at the then Broadmeadows Community Legal Centre, and worked as an electorate officer and operations manager. From 2008 to 2012 Ms Spence served as a Councillor on Hume City Council, including time as Deputy Mayor and Mayor.

Ms Spence's experiences with Broadmeadows Community Legal Centre showed her firsthand how a bit of extra help can make a long-term difference to the most disadvantaged members of our community.

The priorities Ms Spence has for her community are to deliver world-class schools and community facilities, as well as advocating for the best possible transport infrastructure to support a growing community.

Ms Spence's vision for Victoria’s future is a state that is inclusive, fair and offers opportunities for everyone regardless of their background. In growing areas like her electorate, she wants to see investment in infrastructure that families need to thrive.

The areas of public policy that she is most passionate about include education, appropriate urban development, economic growth, and the importance of equity and inclusion.

Ingrid Stitt MP, Special Minister of State and Minister for Multicultural and Multifaith Victoria

Ms Stitt is also the Minister for Government Services, Ageing and Mental Health.

Ingrid Stitt was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council in 2018 representing the Western Metropolitan Region. As Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Ingrid believes that Victoria’s diversity is one of our state’s greatest strengths. She recognises the contribution that our multicultural communities make to make our state stronger and fairer.

Ingrid has also served as Minister for Workplace Safety, Minister for Early Childhood and Pre-Prep and Minister for Environment.
Prior to entering Parliament, Ingrid devoted her working life to representing low paid workers across the private and community sectors. Ingrid has raised her family and lived in the West for over 20 years.

Hon. Paul Edbrooke, Minister for Men and Boys

Mr Edbrooke is also the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Cost of Living and Renters.

Before entering Parliament, Paul worked as a firefighter and teacher. Paul felt that the Frankston community needed to be prioritised by state government in funding revitalisation opportunities for education, health, public transport, and other sectors.

Paul was prompted to run for Parliament out of a commitment for Frankston and a passion to ensure Frankston was able to access the tools, via good representation at a state government level, to ensure the community met its full potential.

In his time as the Member for Frankston he has delivered record funding in schools, TAFE, Public Transport, and mental health, improving all sectors for the community.

“Frankston, as the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, needs to rapidly grow to provide the services of the major CBD”.

Paul’s vision for Victoria’s future is that it maintains its status as the backbone of Australia’s economy, be known on the international stage as progressive socially and industrially, with successful local industry, tourism, and international events.

The areas of public policy that he is most passionate about are education, health, and rolling out the Victorian Royal Commission into Mental Health recommendations and social housing.
