The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions is offering scholarships to people pursuing a rewarding career as an adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) educator in Learn Local settings in Victoria.
Scholarships are now available for people to commence study in an approved adult LLN teaching qualification or skillset. Scholarships are available to prospective, new and existing Learn Local teachers and practitioners.
Approved scholarships
The following scholarships are available under the Victorian ACE Scholarship Program (refer to the ACE Scholarship Program Guidelines for full details):

Scholarship funds must be used to cover approved course fees and other expenses that enable study such as texts, study materials, internet costs and basic living expenses.
Exceptions to approved courses
There are also limited opportunities for applicants to receive scholarship support for adult LLN / foundation skills qualifications that are not on the approved qualification list. Refer to the guidelines for details.
Scholarship obligation requirements
Some scholarship recipients will be obliged to teach at a Learn Local provider for 200 hours to receive their final milestone payment. For full details of this Program’s scholarship obligation requirements, refer to the ACE Scholarship Program Guidelines.

Eligibility requirements
To apply for a scholarship for any course under this program, applicants must:
- be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen or the holder of a permanent residency visa
- be a Victorian resident
- not be receiving any other scholarship, financial support or grant from the department for the approved course they are accepted into OR are studying.
