Laci first visited the Bendigo TAFE Skills and Jobs Centre in 2023 for help with job applications and finding work. She later returned to explore training options and identified early childhood education as a possible career path.
The Skills and Jobs Centre helped Laci explore this career through a kindergarten tour and volunteer placement. As her confidence grew, she decided to enrol in a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at Bendigo TAFE. The centre helped her through the enrolment process, then provided her with ongoing support with her resume and job readiness during her studies.
After her placement, Laci secured a job as an educator. Her experience shows how practical, ongoing career support can help people build confidence, explore training options and move into meaningful employment.
“Thanks to your help, that I’m here now... thriving at my new job! I am really enjoying it, keeping up with assessments and made some friends. Thank you so much for helping me out with finding something, it’s been hard when I had to do it alone.”
