What inspired you to apply?
I was inspired to apply because of my deep commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in leadership roles.
As a senior leader in a dynamic, male-dominated industry, I understand the unique challenges faced by Women of Colour in navigating career growth.
This program presents an invaluable opportunity to gain insights, mentorship, and resources. It not only helped me on my personal leadership journey but also has empowered me to advocate for and mentor others.
I am eager to contribute to building a more inclusive leadership ecosystem while amplifying the voices of Women of Colour.
What has been the biggest take away message for you?
It has been the power of authentic leadership and the importance of embracing my unique identity as a strength.
I’ve learned that true leadership stems from understanding and owning one's experiences, values, and perspectives. The program reinforced the idea that diversity is not just about representation. It’s about leveraging our differences to create innovative, inclusive, and impactful solutions.
The program also highlighted the importance of building a strong support network, mentorship, and advocating for systemic change to ensure more Women of Colour can thrive in leadership roles.
How has this program helped you pursue your career goals and aspirations?
Participating in the program has been instrumental in helping me pursue my career goals and aspirations by providing me with the tools, insights, and confidence to step into my full leadership potential. It has sharpened my strategic thinking, deepened my understanding of navigating systemic challenges, and empowered me to lead with authenticity.
Through access to a strong network of mentors and peers, I’ve gained valuable perspectives that have refined my leadership style.
It has also reinforced the importance of advocating for diversity and inclusion at all levels, further fueling my passion to drive change and make an impact in my industry.
