Our strategic plans

Recycling Victoria's pathway to a world class circular economy and more sustainable future.

Recycling Victoria is pleased to release our 3 year Strategic Plan and Charter of Engagement that set out a pathway to a world class circular economy and more sustainable future.

The Strategic Plan has 4 focus areas:

  • Accountable, reliable and consistent waste and resource recovery services
  • Productive use of resources
  • Confidence in a diverse and competitive waste market
  • Circular economy is contributing to the net zero transition

Achieving this vision will require a combined effort of state and local government, the waste and resource recovery sector, industry, businesses and community.

Over the next 12 months, we will continue to work with our stakeholders to shaping and understanding our collective and individual roles in delivering the plan through our program and services.

Our Strategic Plan defines our purpose, objectives and outcomes for Victoria’s waste, recycling, and resource recovery services.

The Strategic Plan includes our:

  • Regulatory Strategy that will set and guide our approach to applying our regulatory tools and functions
  • Community Engagement Strategy that outlines our engagement activities in support of our strategic goals and functions.

The Charter of Engagement describes our commitment to engage meaningfully and transparently with stakeholders. It outlines how we will engage with stakeholders on issues and decisions that matter to them.

Together, these strategic documents set out the pathway to a world class circular economy that helps build a sustainable future for all Victorians.

We will work with you, we will listen and understand your expectations to help us develop the Strategic Plan, Regulatory Strategy, Community Engagement Strategy and Charter of Engagement.
