How to get something fixed or modified in your home.

When something is broken in your home

We are committed to making sure your home is safe, comfortable and well-maintained. We will repair and maintain the fixtures, fittings and appliances that come with your home, such as sinks, curtain and ovens.

How to request repairs and maintenance

Step 1: Tell us what needs to be repaired

You can ask a family member, your SIL provider or any other supports to contact us on your behalf.

Step 2: Answer our questions

We will ask for:

  • details about the repair
  • your contact details.

We will tell you:

  • your repair reference number
  • an estimated time for the repair.

Step 3: A contractor will come and repair your home

We will contact you when a contractor has been booked to come and fix your home.

You want to make changes to your home

You can request changes or modifications to the structure, layout, or fittings of your home to help you move around safely and comfortably.

The department will assess requests and prioritise them. Any modifications must be approved by the SIL provider at Operations or Area Manager level.

Can I get my ceiling hoists repaired?

Your NDIS plan should cover ceiling hoists, tracking and slings. This includes supply, servicing and repairs.
