We believe every person has the right to live with dignity, respect and independence. When you are accessing our services, your rights are protected by the NDIS Code of Conduct, the NDIS Practice Standards, and the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.
We are committed to upholding your rights and ensuring you feel safe, valued and heard in your home.
Your rights include:
- Respect and dignity – You have the right to be treated with kindness, fairness, and respect for your culture, identity, values, and personal choices.
- Privacy and confidentiality – Your personal information and private space are respected.
- Safety and wellbeing – You have the right to feel safe in your home and to be free from abuse, neglect, or discrimination.
- Choice and control – You have the right to make decisions about your life, your supports, and your daily routines.
- Participation – You have the right to be involved in decisions that affect you, including how your home is managed and how supports are delivered.
- Access to information – You have the right to clear, accessible information about your personal information, your accommodation, your rights, and how we can support you.
- Feedback and complaints – You have the right to speak up, make a complaint, or give feedback without fear. We take all concerns seriously and will work with you to find a fair outcome.
- Advocacy and support – You have the right to use an advocate or support person to help you express your views and protect your rights.
If you ever feel your rights are not being respected, you or someone on your behalf can contact us. If you don’t want to make your complaint to us, you can talk to an external organisation.
