Victoria is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its finalists at the 2025 Australian Training Awards, which recognise excellence in vocational education and training (VET) across the nation.

Congratulations to all the incredible Victorian finalists in this year’s awards. Your hard work, passion and commitment to excellence in VET have earned you a well deserved place on the national stage.

The winners will be announced at the awards event on Friday 5 December 2025. Best of luck to all of the Victorian nominees!

The Victorian finalists in the 2025 Australian Training Awards are:

  • Akwal Magek – Vocational Student of the Year finalist
  • Amber Leyshan – Apprentice of the Year finalist
  • Rebecca Gibson – Trainee of the Year finalist
  • Shirley Darcy – Koorie Student of the Year finalist
  • Tarmi A’Vard – Teacher/Trainer of the Year finalist
  • Stavriana Taliadoros – School-based Apprentice of the Year finalist
  • HYDAC and AI Group Training – Australian Apprenticeships Employer finalist
  • V/Line Corporation – Large Employer of the Year finalist
  • Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre Early Engagement Social Procurement Program – Industry Collaboration finalist
  • Civil Contractors Federation Victoria Small Training Provider of the Year finalist
  • Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute Large Training Provider of the Year finalist
