Our road safety partners

In Victoria, the following agencies are responsible for road safety:

Collectively, these agencies are united in their efforts to improve road safety. Their multi-faceted approach encompasses:

  • targeting high-risk behaviour (for example, speeding and running red lights)
  • enforcement
  • education and public awareness initiatives
  • research and development
  • improvements to Victoria’s road system.

The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 aims to halve deaths by 2030 and put us on a strong path to eliminate all road deaths by 2050.
