Practice Leaders recruited for The Orange Door in Central Highlands

Three Practice Leaders have been recruited for The Orange Door in Central Highlands which will open next year.

The new Integrated Practice Leader, Advanced Family Violence Practice Leader and Aboriginal Practice Leader met with Minister for Prevention of Family Violence, Gabrielle Williams, who visited the premises earlier this month.

The Orange Door in Central Highlands will be the sixth Orange Door to open in Victoria – one of 17 that will be rolled out across the whole of the State.

A premises was secured in Ballarat CBD earlier this year and redevelopment and refurbishment works have commenced.

The Orange Door’s three partner agencies, Berry Street Victoria, Child & Family Services Ballarat (Cafs) and the Ballarat & District Aboriginal Co-Operative, are working collaboratively to establish The Orange Door, recruit staff and deliver integrated practice.

Across the state, more than 69,000 people have been referred or directly sought help from The Orange Door since operations began, including more than 26,000 children.
