SUBJECT: Learn Local Teacher Induction Program released

Actions / Critical Dates:

  • Attend an information session on Wednesday 19 October from 10.00 am – 11.00 am
  • Register to attend the session on or before Monday 17 October

The ACFE Board is committed to supporting new teachers in the Learn Local sector and has therefore contracted the development of a short initial ‘Welcome to the Sector’ module for new and potentially new teachers, to assist them with orientation to the Learn Local sector.

This 5-hour self-paced online program introduces staff to the pre-accredited environment and helps them understand the key characteristics of the sector. It provides access to the essential tools necessary to make their work in the Learn Local sector productive and rewarding.

The program consists of four modules of approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes each. The modules cover:

  • An introduction to the sector
  • Understanding professional practice
  • Developing a professional identity
  • Knowing workplace responsibilities

This information session will provide you with an opportunity to explore the online materials in-depth and find out how you can obtain a copy for your organisation’s learning management system.

Register for the information session.

Please email any questions to Josie Rose or contact your regional office.
