Pre-Prep parent and educator case studies

Parent: Oliver absolutely loves coming to kinder. He loves seeing all of his friends. He tells me all about the adventures they've had. He loves the play equipment, the swings, all of the active things. He loves Bush Kinder. I think there's really nothing about kinder that he doesn't love.

Parent: I found the teachers here to be incredible. I think they are really the glue that holds everything together. They've been so incredibly welcoming, so flexible. They've really made our year here.

Parent: The skills they learn at kinder, I don't know how we find the time to teach them that ourselves. They're thinking. You see them notice so much more about the world. It's just really beautiful to watch them develop.

Kindergarten Teacher: In terms of their independence, a lot of what we do here is around promoting a sense of agency and giving children control and responsibility over their own life. We really just try and build that independence so that they can manage independently.

Parent: The research suggests that the more access children have to early learning environments with quality teachers where their parents can be involved and their communities are part of, the better that's going to be for the kids in terms of developing in every way that they need to. Not just social, not just learning, not just educational, but just being citizens.

Kindergarten Teacher: I see part of my role kind of being the advocacy for play, showing families and parents and children that this is learning and there's a lot that comes from this. Whether it be social skills or whether it be leadership skills or whether it be counting while they're engaging in dramatic play. There is so much learning that does stem from it.
