Transition to two middle-aged women who are positioning themselves carefully on high stools before they start speaking. They both look slightly nervous. 

In the background there are lighting stands and the white backdrop of a studio set.

On the left sits Kelly, who works as a Supported Independent Living Practice Coach. On the right sits Marjo, who works a Shared Support Accommodation Coordinator.

Marjo looks at Kelly and says: “Hold in the bellies.” They both laugh.

Cut to two different people in the same studio, a middle-aged man sitting on a stool and a middle-aged woman sitting in a wheelchair. On the left sits Van, who works as a Team Leader. On the right sits Vicki, who is an NDIS participant. 

They look at each other and smile.

Cut to two different people in the same studio. On the left sits Kelly, who appeared in the opening scene. On the right sits Phoebe, a young woman, who is an NDIS participant. 

A man stands briefly into the frame and brings his hands together in front of the women to make a clapperboard sound to show that the recording has started. Kelly and Phoebe smile.

Bec looks at Shane, smiles and says: “Action!”

Van: “In the name itself, you are a support worker.”

Bec: “You're supporting someone with a disability.”

Cut to Kelly and Phoebe sitting in the studio as before.

Kelly: “A disability support worker is somebody that empowers someone to live the best life that they can.”

Phoebe: “Definitely.”

Cut to Van and Vicki sitting in the studio as before.

Van: “We try to enable the people that we support to do what they can for themselves.”

Cut to Kelly and Marjo sitting in the studio as before.

Marjo: “Working with people, not for them.”

Kelly: “Everybody has the right to have choice, to have control, to live their own life.”

Cut to Van and Vicki sitting in the studio as before.

Vicki: “We're like everybody else, we've got our personal needs like everybody else.”

Cut to Kelly and Phoebe sitting in the studio as before.

Kelly: “It's about seeing the person and supporting them to reach out for new goals and develop new skills.”

Phoebe: “I think that the idea that you're just helping people to the toilet all the time, that's a myth I'd like to get rid of.”

Kelly and Phoebe laugh.

Van: “You need to treat the people we support with dignity and respect.”

Vicki looks at Van, smiles and says: “You just do it from your heart, you enjoy it from your heart. Am I correct?”

Van looks at Vicki, smiles and says: “That's correct, yes Vicki.”

Cut to Kelly and Phoebe sitting in the studio as before.

Phoebe: “Well I think about all the support workers I've had and the right support worker will encourage you and make your life better.”

Cut to Shane and Bec sitting in the studio as before.

Bec: “Everyone at the house, all your staff that help you, what do you like about them?”

Shane: “They're good, they listen to me.”

Cut to Kelly and Marjo sitting in the studio as before.

Kelly: “Give it a go. Put an application in. Do some volunteer time.”

Cut to Kelly and Phoebe sitting in the studio as before.

Phoebe: “I think it's a wonderful career for anyone and not any gender specific or age specific, you're interacting with different people every day in every area of the home and I think it makes it very unique and interesting and I think that's wonderful. So anyone can be a support worker.”

People begin clapping off screen. Kelly pats Phoebe on the back.

Phoebe: “Thanks guys.”

Cut to Shane and Bec standing up to leave.

Bec: “Good job.”

Cut to Van and Vicki getting ready to leave.

Vicki: “That wasn't very bad was it Van?”

Van: “You did really good Vicki.”

Cut to Van wheeling Vicki off the set as they chat inaudibly.
