On 11 December 2025, the Social Services Regulator (SSR) revoked the registration of Greenslopes Supported Residential Service (Sohal & Company Pty Ltd), effective 5 March 2026, to protect residents from significant risk of harm due to the provider’s failure to meet its compliance obligations. The service will be required to close by 5 March 2026.
What support is available for residents?
Residents and their nominated persons/next of kin have been contacted. There are different organisations available to support residents and their families during this time:
- For questions about the decision to close Greenslopes Supported Residential Service, call the SSR on 1300 310 778 or email us at enquiries@ssr.vic.gov.au
- For free support with accessing services and housing, call the Salvation Army on 9890 7144 or via their website.
- For free support with accessing aged care services, call the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) on 1300 700 600 or contact via their website
- For free support with aged care Home Care Packages and Residential Aged Care, call the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) on 1800 951 822 or visit their website.
- For free support with your health, safety, wellbeing and rights as a person living in a Supported Residential Service, call the Community Visitors on 1300 309 337
- For support and information for people receiving NDIS supports, call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or find your NDIS local area coordination partner in your local government area via their website
- In case of an emergency call 000 and explain your situation and that you would like Police to attend. If it not an emergency but you would like to speak to Police, call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

The role of the Social Services Regulator
In line with its Regulatory Approach Statement, the SSR takes a graduated approach to regulating the Social Services Standards as well as the Child Safe Standards for in scope service providers.
All social service providers, including Supported Residential Service (SRS) providers, are required to comply with the Social Services Standards.
The SSR is committed to its duty to protect people who use social services and will not hesitate to act to protect them from harm, abuse and neglect.
This includes taking enforcement action, in line with our Compliance and Enforcement Policy, to prevent or respond to significant harm or risk of harm to people using, as well as taking enforcement action against providers that seriously or repeatedly fail to meet their obligations.
