A State Funeral Service for The Honourable Ronald (Bunna) William Walsh was held on Thursday 14 April 2022 at the Port Melbourne Football Club.
Family, friends and colleagues gathered to pay tribute to Mr Walsh’s legacy and contributions to the State of Victoria and to his local community.
The Service commenced with a performance from the Victorian Trade Union Choir, followed by a welcome from the Celebrant, Mr Julian Bamford.
The Honourable Martin Foley MP provided a tribute on behalf of the Victorian Government, preceding a number of tributes from family and friends, including from Mr Walsh’s son, Mr Neville Walsh.
The Service concluded with a rendition of ‘Solidarity Forever' performed by the Victorian Trade Union Choir along with a lap of honour around the boundary of the North Port Oval.
