Search the tobacco licence public register

It is an offence to sell tobacco in Victoria without a licence. Businesses must have a licence to sell tobacco for both retail (to the public) or wholesale (to other businesses). You can use this list to search for businesses with a tobacco licence.

Information about the register

  • The public register is updated on a weekly basis. Last update: 30 January 2026.
  • Businesses will not appear on the public register until we make a decision about their application.
  • Businesses that applied before 1 February 2026 can continue to sell tobacco products until their licence is granted.
  • Businesses that apply from 1 February 2026 are not permitted to sell tobacco products unless and until their licence is granted.
  • The public register does not include businesses that have been refused a licence.
