Background

The Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series (VCES) supports Victorian students, who are:

  • enrolled in government schools
  • high ability
  • in need of enrichment
  • in Foundation to Year 12.

In 2026, the VCES will provide up to 30,000 funded places for high-ability students. Activities are offered face-to-face and virtually, and can include masterclasses, workshops, and tutorials.

Funded partnerships

The Department of Education (the department) is seeking to partner with:

  • expert education organisations
  • not-for-profit organisations
  • universities
  • tech schools
  • science and mathematics specialist centres
  • government schools.

These partners will receive funding to deliver activities as part of the series.

Funding is available through an application process. Successful organisations will provide activities to a set number of students over 2026.
