As the father of a child with a disability, Peter Langkamp is acutely aware of the issues surrounding lifelong support and its impact on families. He is a director of genU and Wellways as well as president of Carers Australia, the national peak body representing Australia’s unpaid carers.
Peter has had a long and successful career in corporate life acting in high-level capacities across many of Australia’s prominent companies including the National Disability Insurance Agency, Shell Australia, NRMA and Accenture. He currently serves as eCommerce lead at Bendigo Bank, working to ensure their digital banking platform to the elderly and those with a disability.
In 1995, Peter conceived and launched the FlyBuys program, a customer loyalty card that is still used across the Wesfarmers retail family. His work developing this and similar platforms has earnt industry plaudits with two AFA Advertising Effectiveness Awards.
Peter is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
