Tamara is a public health researcher who has dedicated her working life to improving the health and wellbeing of marginalised and disadvantaged people, in particular women, young people and children.

Tamara has led a distinguished 26 year-long public health career, conducting HIV research, program development and evaluation work in both international and local settings.

Having lived in Fiji and other Pacific Island countries, her work has been focused on human rights and gender equality and on reducing discrimination and exclusion in healthcare.
