Mary Agostino

Leading Through Disaster

Mary Agostino is a leader in the local government sector and a strong advocate for the early delivery of social and physical infrastructure to support wellbeing in growth areas.

With most of her career spent in Melbourne’s growth corridors, Mary has worked closely with established and emerging communities to understand their needs and to identify opportunities to create resilient and supportive communities. She has developed and led partnerships to support their wellbeing and to deliver many positive outcomes, facilities and services with government, private and not-for-profit sectors.

Mary has secured substantial investment into growth areas including funding for public transport (rail and buses), roads, schools, early learning centres, police infrastructure, family violence and mental health services.

She has a passion for building sustainable communities that are self-determining and connected, a quality that has seen her help many people rise through adversity to become strong community and sector leaders.
