There's many benefits of the graduate program, and that's for us as an organization and also for the graduate themselves.
The Graduate program has many benefits to the clients that we serve.
We're able to bolster that service to the graduate themselves, to empower them to have an impactful career, to the organization from a reputation and an advocacy basis.
The benefits of the graduate program really help our organization as well as new graduates sort of find a way to connect.
We thought the best match for us would be our case management programs.
That was a great match for a new graduate coming in and being able to provide them with the support they needed to fulfill their roles.
We really invested time into the type of work that a graduate could do.
Grads are coming pretty much from classroom to work.
So we wanted to balance the work tasks, the responsibilities, and the overall experience that really helps them to build confidence.
New graduates, uh, who are being onboarded, there is an expectation that their workload will be lighter.
We have case managers and intake workers and their work really well collaboratively.
So there's someone that will be able to pick up the load.
With that additional $8,000.
That's given us opportunity to really be creative, to enhance a few of our resources.
We wanted to be part of the grad program because resources are great.
We've been able to set up a program specifically for our graduates.
It's called Intersectionality in practice.
It's a fantastic thing to be able to support that professional development.
The $8,000 grant that comes with the graduate has enabled us to not only provide training to graduates in the program, but also training to those who are providing supports to the graduate.
It's a really fantastic initiative, very passionate about it.
I've been really impressed with the way that it's been organized.
We have had really quick responses to any queries that we've had.
I feel really confident that if I did have any questions at all, then I could go to the graduate resource center.
The communication from the department, initially assisted us in getting on board.
It was really great that we had a one-on-one session with the department who explained the process and what we were in for as an organization.
