Implementation considerations

  • Target population: early childhood educators.
  • Program/practice descriptions and details: participants can choose one or more topics throughout the year. The topics are designed to complement each other, but they also have an ability to stand alone for services selecting only one or two sessions. Each online seminar is delivered as two one-hour sessions a week apart.  Face-to-face seminars are regularly scheduled at the provider’s training facility in Melbourne, or alternatively, can be presented on-site at kindergarten services. Observational visits and follow up consultation is an option alongside these webinars.
  • Program adaptability: the facilitators engage with the group to ensure that the specific content is relevant to their current needs and knowledge base.
  • Staffing: educators will be offered training and supported by a team of early childhood therapists and teachers from around Victoria. Services should consider the cost of backfill in determining the cost of accessing this training (either online or face-to-face).
  • Australian experience: the seminar series is available from all Noah’s Ark sites across Victoria.
  • Tools and systems: for the online delivery of the program, participants require access to a computer, tablet or smart phone to join into the Zoom platform.
