Tony Luo is a rising star in Victoria’s planning community. Graduating as Bachelor of Environments, City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Melbourne in 2018, he has quickly become a planner for the Victorian Planning Authority. Tony strives to enhance the liveability, resilience and interconnectedness of communities in Australia through his work.

Tony has built and managed community platforms that have benefitted students and architects. His projects, UNI DiscussionSpace and opportUNIty, boast a population of 17,000 members from Victorian universities who use the platform for study support. He manages the social media audience of 27,000 people in the Architects for Peace community.

Tony has partaken in global opportunities, such as being a selected recipient of the United States Youth Leadership Program and the Young Leaders to China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program. He is actively involved in a diverse range of not-for-profit organisations including AIESEC in Melbourne and Melbourne City Mission.

His keen involvement in the community has seen Tony Luo become one of the youngest Australia Day Ambassadors.
