Title: Andrew and Will, Landscaping

What attracted me to landscaping was being able to work outside all day, every day [Gold Medal], even when you get those rainy days, it’s still, to me, better than sitting in an office behind a desk for 8 hours.

And I just always, always liked doing hands-on work and wasn’t really much, much for a computer, so yeah, I think just think being outside, hands-on work is what I enjoy.

Title: Charlotte, Floristry

I decided to do my apprenticeship in floristry. I loved the industry, I wanted to learn more about it. [Gold Medal] At school, I started doing work experience with a grower. And I fell in love with flowers even more, and then applied for an apprenticeship and went from there.

In the future, I'd love to possibly compete a bit more, do some big events, keep making beautiful arrangements for people. It's really touching when you see someone react to it and they fall in love with it as much as you do, so that, yeah, that's my goals.

Title: Lachie, Carpentry

I would tell someone that wants to get into the apprenticeship of carpentry to do it. [Bronze Medal] It's the best thing I've ever done in my life. School wasn't for me, carpentry was. Always loved it, done it from a little kid, getting out in the shed and tinkering away on whatever I could find. It's a very good life skill. It applies to everything that you can do around home and it's a very good choice for me and I’d assume there'd be plenty of others that are the same.

Title: Isaac, Hairdresser

If you’re thinking about studying hairdressing, I’d definitely take the leap. It is an amazing course to go through. [Medallion for Excellence] You’ll learn so many great things, you’ll meet so many great people and you can push yourself so far.
