The Collaborative Centre is now inviting Expressions of Interest from Victorians with lived and living experience to apply to be on our Lived Experiences Advisory Panel (LEAP).

The LEAP was first established in February 2023, comprising ten members (including two co-Chairs) who have a diverse range of lived and living experiences of mental illness, psychological distress and substance use or addiction. Members of the LEAP include consumers, family members, carers, and supporters

The LEAP will provide strategic advice to the Board, CEOs and Collaborative Centre team on the priorities of the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing, focussing on the establishment phase priorities in its second year of operation.

LEAP members contribute to the Collaborative Centre’s Statement of Priorities by delivering the annual work plan through:

  • providing lived experience leadership within the Collaborative Centre governance structures,
  • participating in co-design activities with the Collaborative Centre team,
  • reviewing key strategic documents for the Collaborative Centre,
  • providing advice to inform strategic development

Our LEAP has been extended for a second year with most of the inaugural members continuing in 2024. One member position is currently vacant, and the appointment will remain until January 2025.

We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and applicants living in regional Victoria.

Expressions of interest have now closed. We are currently reviewing these and will be in touch with applicants shortly.
