David Miller, Chief Executive Officer, Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery

Make 2026 the year that you put forward a nomination for the Victorian Training Awards.

Increasingly, Victoria’s vocational education and training system and our TAFE network are pivotal to delivering the skills needed across the state for economic growth and prosperity. But success is only as good as the people involved, and the Victorian Training Awards offers us the perfect opportunity to take stock and acknowledge the many talented teachers, trainers, students, trainees, apprentices, employers and training providers that participate and make valuable contributions to our VET system.

Please take a moment to reflect on the achievements, challenges and hard work of those around you. It might be a student that has overcome barriers to undertake study or a dedicated teacher that has gone above and beyond to ensure a successful outcome. It may even be you! By nominating and recognising our leaders and role models, we shine a light on their efforts and successes, provide inspiration to others and build on the reputation of TAFE and vocational education.

For all of us in the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery, the Victorian Training Awards nominees further inspire and energise our commitment to deliver a world-class TAFE network. I hope that this opportunity also inspires you to celebrate the work that you and those around you do to both deliver and participate in TAFE.

I encourage you to explore the guide and take the steps to submitting a nomination. It could result in a lifetime or career moment that they will never forget. Nominate today!
