Over 40 years, Maria has been a player, administrator, coach and board member for women’s football – nearly all as a volunteer.
Since the 1970s, she has devoted countless hours to ensure girls and women have equitable access and opportunities to play football. She has been an advocate for change within the governance structure of Football Victoria and Football Federation Australia (FFA).
Today, Maria is an advocate for women's football as the Chair of national not-for-profit organisation Women Onside.
