Student 1: We were really excited on the way here. We just kept talking on the bus about it. We didn't really know that much. We just knew it was an opportunity for us to learn about what we can do like career wise.
Student 2: I was really excited about coming here just to see the different options in what I could do with my career, and seeing all the things that women are able to do nowadays.
Student 3: I've never really been to anything like this before, and yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be this big, so it was cool.
Student 4: I didn't really know this existed, like women in trades, so it was kinda exciting to like find out what it actually is.
Student 5: I was excited to see what options there are for women in trades, and I was excited to see what I could do when I finished school.
Student 6: I don't really know what I wanna do when I'm older, so like yeah, all the activities, really fun. We hope we can fit it all in in time.
Student 7: Pretty much the whole day, we just went around to like the different stalls and like learnt about the different trades that we could do when we're older. Yeah, I did like how everything was hands on and you just got to like choose what you wanted to do.
Student 8: Well, we just did the aviation, which was really cool. I mean, there's the truck over there, which is, that's really cool.
Student 2: Well, I really enjoyed the brick laying that was over there, the electrical stuff, how you could be hands on with it and have a go instead of just reading something. I really enjoyed doing that.
Student 9: I got to do the VR experience and got to do open heart surgery, but I think the patient may have died, may have.
Student 10: We looked at some of the schools for engineering and stuff like that so we could get a better gist on what we need to do to be able to get into courses like that. Yeah, it was really informative and interesting.
Student 6: We went to the truck over there. That was pretty cool. The boat, the boat, what else did we do? We did the hammering, the plumbing.
Student 4: It was pretty cool because they made me do like the pipes and stuff, and I also went to the locksmithing thing and they told us like how locks work. And there was a huge lock there. That was pretty cool.
Student 11: I love how interactive it is here, and that you can like see the actual tools they make. That was just a photo booth I did with my friends so we could have like a little thing from this to put in our rooms, and we dressed up as construction workers.
Student 12: Before this, I sort of really didn't know what I wanted to do. And then coming here and trying new things like really makes you want to explore and like see what you wanna do, and it's really cool.
Student 8: Just meeting people who have these jobs and can tell you stuff about it, I feel like that's pretty cool.
Student 3: Like it has kinda shown me what to expect. If I'm ever like gonna do a career in trades, then I know like what I'm gonna expect.
Student 5: I learned about the different things that you could do in trade. For an example, like being a safety manager to even driving a crane. I think I'm gonna try and pursue project managing because I like to be the boss of everyone.
Student 13: I didn't really like know that all this existed, so now I've got more options in my career.
Student 4: There are like so many jobs that actually like women can do, so it's very eye-opening.
Student 14: I actually never thought of being a tradie, but when we heard some other ladies that did it, I think it's really surprising that they love it, so I can love the same thing they do.
Student 15: I would say it's fun.
Student 16: Yeah, definitely fun.
Student 15: Hands on.
Student 16: Hands on, and definitely…
Student 15: Educational.
Student 16: Educational.
Student 15: That's what I'd say, but all round a 10 out of 10, must come.
Student 16: 10 out of 10. Come down here. Can't wait for next years.
Student 15: Great to open your eyes.
