Mel has been working with Maroondah City Council to design and implement Pathways for Carers, a peer support program that addresses the needs of carers and those they are caring for.
Mel is also the co-founder and president of Different Journeys, which supports autistic teens and autistic adults and their families. Their mission is to empower autistic people by providing them with a social platform that fosters an environment for them to create positive connections, feeling of inclusion, and linking families with services and support.
