Parks and Gardens

Victoria’s parks and gardens are among our state’s greatest natural assets. They are great places to relax and unwind. Follow these tips to stay safe this summer.

Two adults and a child walking in a park

We’re all looking forward to relaxing in Victoria’s parks and gardens this summer. To make sure everyone can enjoy the space in a COVIDSafe way:

  • plan ahead and have a back-up destination in case your first choice is busy
  • stay 1.5 metres apart from people outside your group
  • use the size of a picnic blanket to measure how far to stay apart from other groups
  • carry and wear a fitted face mask if you find yourself in crowd
  • take your rubbish with you.

Respect each other and our conservation areas so we can all enjoy our beautiful parks, gardens and open spaces.

Don’t go out if you feel unwell. Get tested as quickly as possible and isolate until you get a negative result. For more information visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au
