About

Paul Norton’s place in the Australian music industry has been constant since the early 1980s. He toured extensively and released a well-received album as part of rock band The Runners. Success with The Runners propelled Paul into new musical opportunities including work with Wendy & the Rockets and fruitful solo projects. Between 1989 and 1990, Paul released two charting singles with “Stuck on You” and his Australia Day classic, “Southern Sky”.

Paul’s musical portfolio has a diversity that reflects a dynamic career across multiple decades. Much of his recent output has been in contribution to theatrical productions from Shakespeare to independent comedies. Paul is a frequent collaborator with The Australian Shakespeare Company, serving as musical director for many of their productions. His most recent collaboration was in their 30th anniversary outdoor season of Macbeth at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne.

Paul currently divides his time between writing, producing and performing live. He often collaborates and performs with fellow Australia Day Ambassadors, Wendy Stapleton and Michael Cristiano.
