VSA facilitates the 2025 National Manufacturing Technology Summit in Canberra

The VSA Regional and Metropolitan Engagement team recently had the privilege of facilitating Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited’s (AMTIL) 2025 National Manufacturing Technology Summit, which brought together industry leaders and education leaders to tackle one of the sector’s most pressing challenges – the nationwide shortage of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operators.

Through collaborative discussions, the group established a shared definition of the CNC role, identified key barriers impacting the workforce, and developed actionable strategies to strengthen attraction and retention.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with AMTIL to progress these important strategies and to ensure the training system and industry work together to meet future skills needs.
