About enforceable undertakings
Enforceable undertakings are one of many compliance tools available to the Conservation Regulator.
Importantly, an enforceable undertaking must be offered by the regulated entity and accepted by the Secretary to DEECA or a delegate. The reasons for entering into an enforceable undertaking will vary depending on the legislation under which they are provided. The legislation under which an enforceable undertaking may be available to the Conservation Regulator as a compliance tool includes the Forests Act 1958 and the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988.
