GIVIT - Victorian donations

ERV is working closely with GIVIT to help disaster-impacted communities get the help they need through donations.

About GIVIT

In times of emergency, GIVIT is the smart way to help people and communities impacted by disaster.

GIVIT is a national not-for-profit organisation that matches generosity with genuine need through an online platform. GIVIT connects donors and community organisations to make sure people and communities get exactly what they need, when they need it.

GIVIT enables community led recovery and builds resilience by working with all organisations by providing exactly what they need for impacted residents.

One hundred percent of donated money received by GIVIT is used to purchase essential items and services needed by people and communities impacted. GIVIT is committed to purchasing locally wherever possible to aid the economic recovery of affected communities.

GIVIT and Emergency Recovery Victoria

Emergency Recovery Victoria partners with the national not-for-profit organisation GIVIT. Through GIVIT's website, people and organisations can donate goods, services and funds to help individuals and communities in their recovery.

The GIVIT donation website is free to use and makes giving easy by allowing you to see exactly what is needed in affected communities.

How GIVIT works

Donors go to GIVIT's website to submit their donation. Charity and support organisations work with disaster-affected community groups and individuals to understand what they need, and then use GIVIT's website to source donations that match those needs.

How to donate using GIVIT

To donate items, services or funds, please visit GIVIT's website. It connects donors and community organisations to make sure people and communities get exactly what they need when they need it.

Once your donation offer has been listed on GIVIT's website, registered charity and support organisations will be able to view the offer and reserve it on behalf of the people they support. You will receive the organisation's contact details to discuss the donation exchange.
