What is the Toll Collection Capability?
The North East Link State Tolling Corporation (NELSTC) must establish a Toll Collection Capability (TCC) that effectively and efficiently collects North East Link (NEL) toll revenue – ensuring a flexible and scalable capability for future toll roads, returning concessions and related opportunities.
Considerations for the TCC will include:
- relevant tolling legislation and regulatory requirements
- available suppliers
- customer expectations
- service and technology providers, and
- the opportunity to innovate toll collection practices.
The TCC will be procured in 3 phases:
- Market Sounding, including Registration of Interest (ROI)
- Expressions of Interest (EOI)
- Requests for Tender (RFT)
Market Sounding commenced in late 2022 and the ROI phase is to commence in May 2023.
Get involved in the Market Sounding phase
The Market Sounding phase is an opportunity for STC to engage with toll collection system suppliers and operators to gather information to inform the development of STC’s requirements for the TCC.
To facilitate further engagement and provide a structured and confidential communication channel, STC invites responses from those organisations who are suitably experienced and qualified participants in the road tolling industry (supply and services), with a bona fide interest in the procurement of TCC to participate in the Registration of Interest (ROI) process.
Instructions on how to participate in the ROI process are advertised on Buying for .
